We have made it to our second home away from home on this journey of living around the country. Now, we're in the center of it.
Lincoln, Nebraska is much more populated than where we were in Michigan. It's colder here, but there's not as much snow. However, there is much more ice. I've already slipped and gone down twice!
There is a paved trail that goes through Lincoln. Our apartment has a path that connects to the trail and takes us directly to a nearby park. It's probably my favorite thing about Lincoln, so far.
Maddie does pretty well on the ice with her built in ice picks (toenails). She's just happy there is a dog park here at the apartments we're staying at for the time being.
We haven't ventured out into the city just yet, but our little neighborhood has everything we need. Our new favorite thing to do is to try all the things at Trader Joe's, since we've never been around one before. Now, I get the obsession. Best frozen food section ever. Let's just say I haven't been cooking as much since we've arrived in Nebraska, and I'm okay with it.
The photo above is from our first sunset in our apartment. We can actually see it every night and that makes me so happy.
