At the end of January, Garon and I decided to check out one of the world's top ski destinations; Vail, Colorado. It was glorious.
When I say glorious, I mean it was completely mind blowing at times. I've been on some amazing drives before, but this one on I-70 was in the top 5 on my Best Scenic Drives list.
Garon skied while Maddie and I tried to go hiking. After a few failed attempts (too steep, road blocked due to ski slope, no trail to be found), we settled on a nice walking path beside a snow covered river. It might have even been better than a hike since there was a covered bridge. Oh, I do love a good covered bridge.
One evening on our way back into Frisco, we caught a spectacular sunset. Honestly, it took my breath away for a moment, and then I remembered to take a photo and some video, naturally.

The views were perfect around every corner we turned. It changed my mind, just a little, about how I feel about the snow. If I was around these mountains all the time, I would say bring on the snow.

I made a short film of the video clips I took while gallivanting around Vail, including the sunset in Frisco and Maddie living her best life. Enjoy!
